Dr. Nirmal Mulye is the Founder and Chairman of the Nostrum Group with over a dozen foundational patents to his name. Dr. Mulye started Nostrum Pharmaceuticals in 1995 after graduating with his doctorate and a focus on thermodynamics.
In 2008, Dr. Mulye became interested in alternative energy and fuels, and founded Nostrum Energy. One of the first products Mulye conceived was what is now known as the Kinetic Direct Injector which uses the same methodology as Mulye’s patented nebulizers, which delivers the medication in a fine particle mist that can be inhaled. Since then, Nostrum has grown to include 5 subsidiaries which paved the path for research and development in Fuel and Energy.

Kaushik has over 30 years of experience across the energy lifecycle. He has developed game changing solutions in modeling & simulation, systems integration, enterprise energy management, design and operation of plants, smart-grid, transportation, and integrated energy consulting. Kaushik has completed his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. Qualifiers in Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.
Kaushik has led long term strategic planning, business development and resource allocation to support the company growth. Kaushik provides unique insight and guidance for the company and for team members, which is essential to both revenue and employee development.

Frank LoScrudato, Vice President

Frank has 22 years of engine engineering, manufacturing, operations and purchasing experience, including 10+ years in Chrysler Powertrain. As Director of Powertrain for Next Autoworks Company, he was instrumental in engine development, powertrain integration, regulatory compliance and program management. Frank earned a B.S. in Engineering (Automotive Engineering) from Kettering University (formerly General Motors Institute).
Frank has been a part of Nostrum since 2012 and is responsible for creating the Product Development Process and the Operating System. He has led all supply chain, operations, manufacturing, and quality as well as support new product development and IP development. In addition to operations, Frank is also responsible for Sales, Marketing and all business support functions (HR, Finance, Facilities, Assets).

Sam Barros, Director of R&D
An exceptional scientist and hands-on manager, Sam brings more than eleven years advanced technology and scientific research, including projects in the automotive, engine, nuclear and high voltage industries. Sam has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
As the first employee at Nostrum, Sam is responsible for advanced research and development (R&D) activities, research programs with Michigan Tech University, advanced product development and core intellectual property development including patents. Sam is also the Director of Calibration for the aftermarket products and water injection.

Dr. Shrikrishna K. Sane, Ph.D.
Advisor Science & Technology, operating from Mumbai, India.
Dr. Sane is a world renowned expert in Gas Turbine engines and has extensive expertise in energy systems, Aerothermodynamics Simulation, Conceptual Design of Propulsion Systems related to Military and Transport aircraft, Multi-Disciplinary Optimization to System selection and sizing, Development of Instrumentation Systems and Product Development. He also has more than 10+ patents to his credit and has written over 75 papers in National/International Journals/Conferences. He is a Fellow of Aeronautical Society of India and a Member of the International Advisory Committee of Gas Turbine Society of Japan. Dr. Sane has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Technology in Internal Combustion Engines and a Ph.D. in Gas Turbines. He has over 40 years’ experience in academics, research and development as a Professor of Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai.

Naag Piduru, Director of Development
With a deep command of Computational Fluid Dynamics (“CFD”) and internal combustion engines, Naag leads the Product Development team of 6 engineers from concept to product validation. Naag leads the PPAP and 12-step Development Process for all new products. In 2013, he started as an R&D Intern and has since grown organically through the ranks.
Naag holds a BA in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune, and an MS in Mechanical Engineering, Powertrain, from Michigan Tech University where he specialized in advanced combustion and internal combustion engines. His work experience spans engine instrumentation, data acquisition, prototype testing , 3D modelling (SolidWorks,ProE), Finite Element Analysis (SolidWorksFEA), 1-D engine modelling (GT Power) , Computational Fluid Dynamics modelling (Converge CFD), Data Analysis and Post processing (Matlab,Ensight,Tecplot).

Christopher Adoba, Senior Calibration Engineer
Proven in project planning, forging strong relationships, and developing calibrations for powertrain systems, Chris bring 3 years of OEM experience in powertrain development to the team. Chris holds a BA in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and his work experience spans a diverse array of positions in the automotive industry including engine development, hardware validation, and both engine and transmission calibration.
At Nostrum, he is the lead calibrator for the proprietary water injection system as well as the Infiniti, BMW, and Subaru vehicle platforms. He is responsible for developing calibrations for production release using a variety of calibration tuning tools, developing the software to drive the water injection system, and providing calibration support to Nostrum’s customers and dealers.

Jason Haines, Senior Powertrain Engineer
Jason has over 25 years of technical experience in automotive powertrain systems, including 20+ years at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering as a project director and chief engineer. His areas of specialization include product design, engine/vehicle control systems calibration, fuel systems, engine and component testing and low volume manufacturing. Industries he has been involved in include high performance automotive street vehicles, automotive racing, marine and protective services/armored vehicles markets. Jason holds a BAS in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania and a BSE in Entrepreneurial Business Management from the Wharton School.
Jason is Senior Powertrain Engineer at Nostrum and is responsible for testing and controls, including overseeing product development and testing.

Shubham Fialoke, Manufacturing Operations Engineer
Shubham joined Nostrum Energy in early 2019 as an intern while completing his MS in Manufacturing Engineering at University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. After graduation, he has worked on developing the manufacturing engineering portfolio at Nostrum - building a framework for the quality management system, network of suppliers for core production operations, and establishing key internal assembly and testing processes.
Shubham also holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi Technological University, and has a background in product and process development, DFM/DFA, production systems control, and supply chain management. He is responsible for streamlining designs from concept to creation, improving efficiency of assets and processes, and managing daily shop floor operations.

Bruno Vieira Silva
Bruno is the CAE/CFD Specialist, and is responsible for the development of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations of in-cylinder air flow, fuel and water injection, liquid flow inside injectors and pumps. He has experience with 3D internal combustion engines simulations, structural analysis and CAD. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and is pursuing his Masters in Automotive Systems at Kettering University.
